Taper delay was a mistake, says Pictet AM's chief strategist

By on

Fed chairman Ben Bernanke made a mistake by not starting to taper in September, as markets were all set for bond purchases to slow, says Pictet's Luca Paolini.

Paolini, who is chief strategist for the asset management arm of the Swiss company, predicts tapering will now take place in March 2014.

Also in this video, Paolini explains why he expects emerging market and Japanese equities to be the best performing assets in the coming year.
