US equities manager Lawrence Kemp has resigned from his role as head of US Large Cap Growth Equity for UBS Global Asset Management after almost 20 years with the firm.
The Euro Stars A-rated manager will be replaced by Sam Console and Peter Brye with immediate effect, UBS confirmed to Citywire's sister publication Wealth Manager on Tuesday, who will take over his role and funds.
These include the UBS (Lux) Eq S - Global Growth and the UBS US Growth funds. The Luxembourg domiciled fund follows a similar strategy to the UBS US Growth fund which has just over €150 million in assets.
Sam Console and Peter Bye were both previously senior investment analysts at UBS on the US Large Cap Growth team. Console is a specialist in consumer discretionary and staples while Bye specialises in healthcare and consumer discretionary.
The group also confirmed that Paul Graham, previously head of growth equities, will take on the role of senior portfolio manager for the US Large Cap Growth Equity strategies.
