Raphael Kassin: eurozone's only solution is to go the Latin way

By on

Citywire Global columnist and emerging market bond expert, Raphael Kassin steps into the studio to talk debt.

Drawing parallels between the Latin American crisis of the '70s and '80s, he argues the fate for struggling eurozone countires lies outside of the euro.

The likes of Greece, Italy and Spain, he says must be allowed to default and start again from scratch.

And it's not all plain sailing for the emerging markets either as Kassin eyes a growing bubble borne out of the recent 'craze' to tap the asset class.
