Former EDRAM boss resurfaces with consultancy firm

Philippe Couvrecelle, former chairman of Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, has launched his own consultancy firm with another former EDRAM colleague.

The PTH Conseil firm was founded at the end of December by Couvrecelle alongside Jean Maunoury, who until recently was EDRAM’s head of strategy and global asset allocation manager.

His new firm aims to offer advice on portfolio management, manager selection, risk management as well as strategic analysis and marketing.

Couvrecelle left EDRAM in July 2012 after five years with the firm. A few days after his departure his former group announced their decision to merge their asset management (EDRAM) and investment management (EDRIM) divisions.

In a note on his new firm’s webpage Couvrecelle says:

‘I launched PTH-Conseil with the aim of doing what I do best - providing a disciplined focus on strategic priorities and harnessing core competencies.’

‘Despite the overall pessimism, I believe that the asset management sector remains attractive and continues to present great opportunities.’
