Carmignac has announced former BlackRock manager Laurent Ducoin will take over Jordan Cvetanovski's position who is set to leave the firm at the end of September.
The new appointment comes days after it was revealed that Australian manager Cvetanovski was departing Carmignac on September 30th following six years with the French firm.
Ducoin joins Carmignac Gestion from BlackRock where he was a pan-European equities manager. From October 1st he will become the firm’s head of European management and will also co-manage the Carmignac Grande Europe with Samir Essafri and co-manage the Carmignac Euro-Entrepreneurs.
The newly appointed manager began his career as a sell-side analyst at CM-CIC Securities before joining Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, which has since merged with BlackRock, in 2004 and has been builiding up his experience in European equities ever since.
