Aberdeen Asset Management has appointed a specialist property fund manager from Schroders in order to strengthen its own property fund of funds team.

European investments specialist Dimme Lucassen will join Aberdeen at its Amsterdam offices and focus on European investments.

Lucassen had worked for Schroders Property Investment management for the past 10 years, where he had been fund manager for a European fund of funds.

In his new role, one main area of focus for Lucassen will be eurozone fund of funds, where he replaces existing manager Karin Koks.

This follows the appointment of Koks to oversee global investments in her new role as head of global markets within Aberdeen Asset Management.

Commenting on Lucassen’s appointment, Jon Lekander, global head of property multi-manager, said: ‘We welcome Dimme to the property at Aberdeen Asset Management.'

'He brings with him a wealth of experience and his knowledge of the European fund of funds sector make him well suited to the role.’
