About Gregorio Saichin

Greg Saichin was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1960 and graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, School of Economics with a bachelor of business administration and from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania with an MBA degree. He started his career in 1986 at Lloyds Bank PLC where he was a banking trainee and joined Citibank N.A. International division in 1988. Greg joined Chemical Investment Bank in 1992 where he was a vice president of emerging markets fixed income sales and in 1994 he joined Deutsche Bank where he worked in debt capital markets. In 1998 he joined Credit Lyonnais Investment Bank where he worked in capital markets. In 2000 he joined Pioneer Investment Management where he was head of emerging markets and high yield fixed income funds. He then joined Allianz Global Investors in 2013 to set up the firm’s first specialist unit for developing world bonds. Outside of fund management he enjoys tennis, soccer and scuba diving.
