John Yakas has over two decades of investment experience. He is a stalwart of the Asian markets having started out as the head of Asian research at Fox-Pitt, Kelton in 1995. He then worked at HSBC in Hong Kong and then HIM Capital (formerly Hiscox). He is currently a portfolio manager on the Asian equities desk at Polar Capital, having joined the company in September 2010.

Objective

To achieve capital growth in the medium / long term through investment in the equities of banks, insurance companies and other financial shares which derive a substantial proportion of their profits from Far Eastern markets outside Japan.
