Mary-Thérèse Barton attended Oxford University where she gained a BA degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. She started her career with Dun & Bradstreet where she worked as an economist for western European markets. Mary-Thérèse joined Pictet in 2004 where she is currently an analyst for the emerging fixed income markets for emerging debts.
Simon Lue-Fong joined Pictet Asset Management in 2005 as a senior investment manager and is currently the head of global emerging debt. Prior to this he worked for Standard Asset Management and was with Invesco from 2000 t0 2003 as a senior investment manager within the emerging markets debt teams. Simon started his investment career with Fischer Francis Trees & Watts in 1996 as an investment manager before becoming the head of emerging market debt.
Orlena Yee, born in 1975, studied Political Science at Tufts University in Massachusetts and then European Studies at the London School of Economics. She is a holder of the CFA designation. Her finance experience as portfolio manager began working for Fischer Francis Trees & Watts in 2005. After two years she left the company to join Pictet Asset Management where she has been developing her career as senior investment manager. She runs funds as well as institutional mandates and adopts a top-down view in her investment strategy.
The sub-fund seeks capital growth by investing at least two-thirds of its total assets in a diversified portfolio of bonds and other debt instruments denominated in the local currency of emerging Latin American markets.
